I allowed fear to control and navigate several parts of my life. Looking back on those moments, I can’t help, but wish I made choices that were less based on fear of the unknown and more based on chasing what I wanted out of life.
Fear is an inevitable part of life — it is a part of our survival instinct system. Fear protects us, and keeps us safe from harm. It can be a source of motivation and drive, but it can also lead to paralysis and a lack of action when it comes to making decisions that could change our lives for the better.
We become so overwhelmed by the potential consequences of taking a risk, that we don’t take any action at all.
This can lead to feelings of regret, anxiety, and frustration. But it doesn’t have to be this way. We can learn to manage our fears and make decisions that could open up a world of possibilities, allowing us to live a life of joy, passion and purpose.

1. Fear is Normal: One of the most comforting things to remember is that fear is simply part of being human. It can manifest in many ways, and it can be hard to make sense of, but feeling scared doesn’t mean something is wrong with us. Recognizing our fears, accepting them, and learning to move past them is a courageous act and an incredible opportunity for personal growth and it can feel liberating.

2. Fear and how to Deal with it is not One-Size-Fits-All: It is also important to remember that everyone has their own unique set of fears. What may seem trivial to one person may feel overwhelming to another. When it comes to making decisions, it’s important to take a step back and consider our individual fears and circumstances.

3. Challenge Your Fear: The next step is to challenge the fears that are holding us back. We can do this by reframing our thoughts, asking ourselves tough questions, and challenging our own limiting beliefs.
For example, if we’re afraid of taking a risk that could lead to a better job or a more fulfilling career, we can ask ourselves: What’s the worst that could happen if I take this risk? How could I handle it if it doesn’t work out? What are the potential rewards if it does?

4. Breaking Up Big Fears: It can be daunting to look at the big picture, but when we break down our fears into tiny, bite-sized chunks, we realize that each step brings us closer to our goal. Taking it one step at a time, we can slowly but surely we can focus on the smaller steps that will get us closer to our goal.

5. Communicate: One of the most powerful ways to tackle our fears is to talk to people who have been through a similar situation. Whether it’s a friend, a mentor, or a counselor, talking to someone who understands our fears can help us to gain clarity and perspective.

6. Scenario Planning: It can also be helpful to imagine the consequences of not taking action. When we think about the potential rewards of taking a risk, it can give us the motivation to take the plunge.
My Final Thoughts
Above all, it’s important to remember that fear is not a sign of weakness. It’s a sign of strength, courage, and resilience. It takes a lot of courage to face our fears and make decisions that could change our lives for the better.
So, the next time you are faced with a daunting decision that could shape your life, don’t let fear drag you down. Feel it, embrace it, and take steps to propel you ahead. You may be astounded by all that life could offer.
That's just my two cents.
Until next time,
